I am honoured to be the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate in Fareham. The General Election on June 8th 2017 will be an opportunity for the British people to choose between strong and stable leadership with Theresa May and the Conservatives or a coalition of chaos led by Jeremy Corbyn.
Over the last 2 years, I have had the privilege to serve Fareham as the Member of Parliament. Living in Locks Heath, I have been energetic in working for local people, securing better housing for residents, successfully challenging unfair decision on special education needs, social care packages and benefits. I have been an advocate for patients of Southern Health, Bass fishermen in Warsash, broadband users in Whiteley and helped to stop the landlords of The Queen's Head Pub from being kicked out.
Like the majority of people in Fareham, I voted to leave the European Union. I believe that the British people should control our borders, our laws and our trade policy and I support Theresa May's clear plan to create a new relationships with the EU based on co-operation.
I set up Fareham Community Hospital Taskforce to work with local GPs to build a plan for better local care from our local hospital. I have also worked with national and local government to secure £millions of investment to upgrade the M27 and the Stubbington Bypass to ease traffic and congestion.
And since I started my Apprenticeships Fairs, over 1000 young people have started Apprenticeships, empowering the next generation into work.
