It was great to meet volunteers and visitors at Broadlaw Walk Community Centre, off Bishopsfield Road. This relatively new facility is used by several local groups with as many activities free of charge. I met with the Veggie Box group who prepare fresh vegetables from local suppliers and distribute them to local residents on tuesdays, but later this week, the Community Centre was going to play host to the Family Space, Craft Club, Ryukin Ryu Karate Club and the Fareham Lions Club.
Positive atmosphere and friendly faces! Many thanks to Cllrs Trevor Howard and Dennis Steadman who have worked hard to ensure that local residents have a vital Community Space which is modern, accessible and brings local people together.
