Suella was delighted to learn that Cams Hill School in Fareham was successful with their bid to the Government’s Condition Improvement Fund (CIF). Cams Hill will soon be receiving funding from the Department for Education to fund their flat roofing replacement project.
The priority for the Department for Education in administering the CIF is to address significant condition needs – that is, keeping education providers’ buildings safe and in good working order. This includes funding projects that address health and safety issues, building compliance and buildings in poor condition.
The amount of funding that Cams Hill will receive is not currently public information, as the CIF team is still working with the school to get their project underway. Nonetheless, Suella is pleased that Cams Hill will soon replace their flat roofing, ensuring that their buildings are fit for purpose and safe for pupils.
Commenting, Suella said:
“I am absolutely determined that children in Fareham and around the country should receive a high-quality education, and that means making sure that all school buildings are safe for the pupils inside of them. I’m really pleased for Cams Hill; this funding is well-deserved and excellent news for the school.”
