I am passionate about putting the needs of Fareham residents at the forefront of the discussion on local healthcare services.
I also want to improve decision making on healthcare by giving those most directly impacted by it their say. That is why I am inviting local people to attend my Health Summit at Fareham Community Church from 6.30pm-8pm on Friday 14th September 2018.
The Summit is free and will be an opportunity for residents to put their concerns about health and social care directly to senior staff of the various organisations responsible. It is open to residents throughout Fareham constituency and places can be reserved via Eventbrite at; https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/health-summit-tickets-47259033040
At the summit we will discuss real solutions to the issues that matter most to local patients. Many residents have contacted me about the services in our area, ranging from GP and hospital waiting times, mental health services, the utilisation of Fareham Community Hospital and problems with Adult Health & Care.
I am therefore holding this meeting so that those responsible can listen to the public's questions and provide an update on the work that is taking place within our healthcare.
Organisations attending the Summit include:
- Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust
- University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust
- Fareham Community Hospital
- Fareham & Gosport Clinical Commissioning Group
- Better Local Care
- Hampshire County Council Adult Health & Care
- Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust
