Suella was pleased to speak to students at the fair and learn that they were very appreciative of the advice and information they received.
Suella hosts this event annually and welcomes the news that many young people in Fareham are continuing to undertake an apprenticeship after leaving school. Since Suella became the Member of Parliament for Fareham in 2015, there have been approximately 5,750 apprenticeship starts in Fareham.

“It’s really nice to be here at the fair, a very informational day. Great to speak with companies who are providing lots of detail to me about what opportunities are available. All the stalls here today are good, they’ve all given me helpful information that will be useful for me when thinking about my future for after school.”

“It was fantastic to host my annual apprenticeships, skills and jobs fair on Friday at the DWP Jobcentre on West Street in Fareham. I’ve been holding these events annually for the last several years because I’m passionate about supporting young people in finding opportunities for training, furthering their skills and earning money.
“I’m really pleased that the number of apprentices has increased significantly in the last five years in Fareham, with a total of 5,750 new apprentices since I became MP in 2015.
“It was great to see hundreds of young people from local schools attend my event in Fareham and meet employers and other apprentices from a wide range of sectors.
