I spent an afternoon at Lucketts, a coach company based in Fareham where I met with Director, Ian Luckett and Managing Director, Tony Lawman as well as members of staff at the Fareham office in Wallington. During the visit I discussed the challenges the bus and coach industry face, as well as the opportunities, and learnt of Lucketts successes during 2017 and the company’s vision for growth in 2018.
I would like to thank Ian Luckett and the whole team at Lucketts for taking the time to show me around – we had a good discussion about the bus and coach industry. Lucketts is going from strength to strength and has ambitious plans for expansion in our region.
Bus and coach services play an important role in reducing congestion and improving air quality, which is an increasingly salient issue in Fareham. As well as the environmental benefits of these services, domestic and international visitors travelling by coach contribute over £6 billion to the UK economy.
