Suella Braverman has met with several local businesses at the second staging of the Solent Business Forum this year.
Several business leaders and representatives from across Fareham gathered for lunch at the Lysses House Hotel where they were addressed by Suella, who focussed her discussions on the current Brexit situation as well as growing trade and exports.
The event was attended by several local businesses from a range of sectors including aerospace, the legal profession, the education sector and financial services.
The Solent Business Forum organises quarterly events for local businesses to network and meet with their MP as well as hear from other figures in Westminster. Previously, Suella has also hosted officials including Housing Minister Kit Malthouse and Lord Digby-Jones to address attendees.
Commenting, Suella said:
"It was great to meet with local businesses operating in many different sectors which are vital for the economy of Fareham. I am especially grateful to Tim Geoghegan who has helped me coordinate the Solent Business Forum which provides a platform for businesses to come together and discuss the issues that are important to them."
"We plan to hold our next event in due course and if any business in Fareham would like to attend, please drop me an email and you would be very welcome to join our discussions at the Solent Business forum."
The Fareham MP has been a consistent advocate of local business interests and fostering innovation and expertise, having organised the Solent Festival of Engineering in November, with the aim of inspiring more young people to become engineers.
