Member of Parliament for Fareham, Suella Braverman, has said she and her husband are “absolutely delighted” at the birth of their first child earlier this month.
Born on Wednesday, 10th July, George Jeffrey Braverman was delivered safely and weighed 8lbs, 6oz.
Commenting, Suella Braverman said:
“My husband and I are absolutely delighted at the birth of George and we’re very grateful for all the good wishes and support that we have received from friends, family and constituents.
“We’d also like to express our gratitude for the amazing care that George and I received in hospital and for the support I received before the birth. My husband Rael and I are so happy to be back at home with George and enjoying looking after our newborn.”
Mrs Braverman began her maternity leave at the start of July and will continue her leave towards the end of 2019. As arranged beforehand, Mrs Braverman has a proxy MP in the House of Commons who will remain in contact with her and vote on her behalf on debates and legislation. Both her offices in Fareham and Westminster will continue to assist local residents as usual with oversight from Suella.
