Very pleased to meet with Police UK Disability Sport CIC in Parliament this week.
I’m supporting Fareham resident Kerry Snuggs BEM with her project, the Intrepid Games Foundation for police and emergency service men and women who are disabled or injured to take part in a sporting event that celebrates their talents and service to our country.
With 21 years dedicated to the Police force, Kerry founded the Intrepid Games in 2023, a National Sporting event for those injured on duty or disabled within the Emergency Services.
The Intrepid Games will host many disability sports such as sitting-down volleyball, archery and so forth. Kerry hopes that the event will have individual and team sports. It’s not just about medals; it's also about bringing hope to those who need support.
Whilst the Intrepid games is currently in its infancy with planning, it has had a huge outpouring of support from all over the UK. They are currently supported by the following: NPCC, Hampshire Police Federation, the Disabled Police Association and Flint House Rehabilitation.
