I visited members of Fareham and Gosport Soroptimist International group about life as an MP. Speaking to the group of members assembled in Holy Trinity Church Hall in Fareham, I was delighted to discuss women in Parliament. I hope that by talking about my own experience of becoming an MP, and life in Parliament I can help in a small way to inspire the next generation of women to become our representatives’ of tomorrow. I would like to thank all the organisers for giving me the opportunity to speak at the event.
Soroptimist is a nationwide group that works to transform women’s lives by empowering and enable opportunities for women and girls. There website can be accessed here.
