I was shown around Locks Heath Cricket Club, where I was able to meet aspiring cricketers and club coaches.
I joined a session of young cricketers, both boys and girls, who train every Saturday from April to July and was shown around the training facilities by the club’s Vice Chairman Dan Williamson. Hampshire County Cllr Geoff Hockley also attended with me.
As well as seeing the training session in full swing, I also congratulated members of the under 9s team who won a recent tournament.
It was a delight to be able to join members of Locks Heath Cricket Club for their training session and to be able to pass on my congratulations to the U9s team for their great victory! I would also like to thank Dan for kindly taking the time to show me around and introduce me to the team.
