Recently Suella was delighted to visit the Fareham-grown cybersecurity company Threat Status, to discuss their new locally innovated security software. Threat Status builds cyber security protection software to protect systems, such as email, data rooms and shopping sites, from unauthorised access, after usernames and passwords have been stolen during a cyber-attack.
Having been founded in Fareham in 2017, the company has gone on to expand its global client base. This impressive roster of clients now includes European Governments, Hospitals, F1 teams, Insurance companies and Pharmaceutical companies. The CEO of the company Jon Inns was pleased to brief Suella on the launch of the company’s new security software: ARC. This robust new software is a new real-time vulnerable credential checking service, which utilises cryptographic algorithms to enhance software security and will soon be rolled out for use by businesses.
Following its reception of funding from Innovate UK, Threat Status is now looking to expand its operations more widely across the UK.
Commenting Suella said:
“I am constantly amazed by the sheer depth and breadth of local innovative expertise that we have right on our doorstep. Threat Status is one such firm, which is leading the way in cybersecurity development and is driving forward the rapid recognition of Fareham and the Solent region as a “Tech Hub”. It was a pleasure to meet the team and to learn about the exciting new ARC software, which will provide businesses and organisations with a robust online security framework.”
