Recently, Suella was pleased to have the opportunity to check in with the team at Two Saints on 101 Gosport Road, to follow on from the MP’s previous work with the organisation.
The Two Saints team are working hard to support rough sleepers and homeless people and Suella applauded their dedication to aid some of the most vulnerable people in our community. She was pleased to learn that, thanks to the Government’s programme of ‘Everyone In’, during the pandemic, all rough sleepers in Fareham were accommodated throughout our area. Suella was also encouraged to hear that most of these individuals have gone onto settled accommodation and not returned to homelessness.
Over the last few years, Suella has been consistent in raising concerns on behalf of local residents with Two Saints about anti-social behaviour by their occupants in neighbouring roads. She is pleased that, through collaboration with local residents, the police and Fareham Borough Council, the matter has improved.
Suella Braverman, MP for Fareham, said:
“For many years now, I have been working closely with Two Saints on Gosport Road. The organisation provides a vital service in fighting rough sleeping and addiction and we are fortunate that Two Saints carry out such crucial work across Fareham. I have also coordinated an action plan with Two Saints to limit anti-social behaviour and I was pleased to see from this month’s visit that tangible progress is being made across the board. We all need to keep working together to ensure that our local environment is pleasant and safe for everyone to enjoy.”
