On Friday 6th September, Suella joined local Waterlooville Councillor Gwen Robinson and Wayne Layton, Havant Borough Council, to visit ‘The Exchange'—an exciting new restaurant coming soon to Waterlooville.
Suella met the owner, Stephanie Thomas, to learn more about her plans to bring this unit back to life. The family-friendly bistro will be open all day, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails and coffees, and will also host live entertainers and quiz nights.
The Exchange received planning permission from Havant Borough Council earlier this year and has been awarded a share of the Council’s £140,000 regeneration scheme fund. This funding has been made available alongside a significant investment from the owners to create this new restaurant, which will greatly benefit the local nightlife scene in Waterlooville.
Suella is a big supporter of local companies looking to invest in the community and believes this latest investment is a strong step forward for the rejuvenation of Waterlooville.
Commenting, Suella said:
“Great to pop into the Exchange today and catch up with the brilliant Steph Thomas with Gwen Robinson, Waterlooville Councillor.
“The plans to open a new bar and restaurant in the heart of Waterlooville are very exciting, and good progress is being made on the refurbishment. It’s wonderful to see people investing in the community; this latest addition will certainly brighten up the area for years to come and provide a wonderful space for families and friends to come and enjoy themselves in.”
