It was great to welcome so many Year 11 students from Cowplain School, Fareham Academy and Boundary Oak at my annual Universities Conference. The event saw students meeting with admissions tutors and undergraduate students from top universities like Cambridge, Oxford, King’s College and Southampton.
Students listened to presentations about how to choose your A Levels, the application process and the truth about student life.
I want to thank all the speakers for coming, giving presentations and answering lots of great questions from Fareham & Waterlooville students.

However, after chatting with admissions tutors, I quickly saw that, like everyone else, I had the potential to pursue a degree at one of the UK's best universities.
“I host this conference because I want to ensure that all young people, regardless of their situation, have access to the opportunities that are available to them.”
